Chris and I are getting closer and closer to that final goodbye. I have no doubts that weapos;ll stay friends, but it is wierd. Tomorrow we should be done with the division of property. Over the weekend heapos;s bringing his last big shelving unit to his house, and thatapos;s it. So...trying not to think too much about that.

And....I had all kinds of other things I planned to write...but theyapos;re gone now.

Friday was really good, i smoked a whole buncha weed too my dome and i was doing oc like it was my day job. Ha i was zoning out sooooo hard by like 2 in the mourning, it would take me like 25 minutes too reply too peoples text messages because id like start writing them and then id zone out and would forget i was texting lol. Saturday i woke up, me and my grandpa drove out too the rez, got cigs, then we drove too darien too his nephews...i got too drive i actually did like super super good and then we got on the fourwheeler haha that was a fun time. Then on our way home we got my girlfriend <3 and we just basically chilled at my grandpas all night, then we came back too my house for a few hours and smoked a blunt with jd and then we went back too my grandpas house too go too bed lol. My friend Linda and I played hooky yesterday, and went to New Hope, PA.� For those not in the know (and I know that Gemma is), itapos;s a funky, arty community right on the Delaware River in PA.� If youapos;re at all into poking into cool shops, eating very well, among beautiful scenery, this place rules.� The drive took almost an hour, and the fall colors were glorious� It was one of those days you wish you had a convertible.� I stocked up on some incense, candles, etc. At Mystical Tymes, the pagan shop there.� Itapos;s always a trip to talk to Eric, one of the proprietors.� I got some of their amazing Samhain loose incense, and it smells incredible.� I could spend hours there.� Thre is also a�cool vintage store, and lots of artsy-gallery-ish places. And of course, a fudge shop

It was fun to take the day, relax, and not think of job stress for once. �Linda is always cool to hang with, too.� Feeling much less tense.� Our friend Kathy blew us off again, of course.� Must go into that story sometime.

I was a little confused about how this week was going to be structured. In Module 3, I saw a discussion area for one group, but I didnrsquo;t see any other groups. I didnrsquo;t realize that certain discussion areas can be set up to only be viewed by a select group of students. Also, I posted an item during the end of the week for Module 3 and didnrsquo;t see any response for quite some time. I wondered whether I should have done that. Eventually, I did get responses.

I like the idea of jigsaw learning, but I donrsquo;t think the way we used it was very effective. First of all, there seemed to be uncertainty related to how the group should get started. Someone set up a wiki, which helped get things moving. But then we worked independently, posted to the wiki, made a few revisions, combined the paper and posted it for final revisions. While I thought communication and participation of all members of the group was excellent, I didnrsquo;t feel that the process was very collaborative or that we learned much about the jigsaw learning process from each other. It felt more like we worked independently to developed individual papers that were combined into a final product. The discussions that we usually participate in seem more collaborative than this project.

Irsquo;m not sure how we could have made this exercise more collaborative or how we could have created more of a group learning exercise. One of the problems is the varying schedules we have and the need to get things done when we can. One member of the group suggested a chat, but finding a time proved to be problematic. The wiki helped and we also posted in the discussion area. Maybe this is an example of the need for the availability of multiple tools. Learners select what works for them to advance their learning process. The drawback, it seems, is the nature and level of motivation of the learner. Is he or she an independent, self-directed learner? Is asynchronous contact with other members of the team acceptable to the learning objective? Is the final assessment of learning perceived as being fair to the all of the members of the group?

Having said this, I still enjoyed working on this project. I liked researching a topic that is of interest to me with the possibility of using it in the future. I also gained valuable information from the assessment tools that the others in the group researched. I havenrsquo;t had the opportunity to see all of the other postings from the other groups, but the one I have looked at will add to my knowledge of assessment tools and their uses. I plan to save the final paper from each group for future reference.

�Oh well. I failed 4 overall. Like I said before, physics was just by 2 marks. Obviously sad and stuff but hell, itapos;s not the Oapos;s yet so thereapos;s still time, so to speak.�

For 30 minutes during english lesson just now talked about the whole Obama/Mccain issue. Those of you dimwits who ainapos;t got any clue go burn yourselves. Because it sure as hell does affect you and your future, even though these people are thousand miles away and thereapos;s a very farfetched chance to ever see them.
